A Goodwill shopper’s jaw-dropping haul of retro video games has gained viral attention on Reddit, with more than 1,600 people upvoting their photo of a shelf packed with classic titles at bargain prices.
The image, posted to Reddit by u/PaUrbex on July 14, shows long rows of games stacked at a Goodwill store, including Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars and Hey You, Pikachu!, with price stickers reading as low as $6 and $10 apiece.
“Blessed by the Goodwill Gods today. Wish I could have afforded more,” the shopper wrote alongside the photo. “First time posting here, long time Goodwill shopper. Just got mind blown at a local store. May go back tomorrow but spent more than I should have getting about 10 of the ones I’ve been wanting. Prices were decent too.”

The post quickly drew a wave of amused and admiring comments from fellow Reddit users, many fixating on individual titles spotted on the shelf.
“These are more than decent wow, smash bros for $18?! Insane find O:” one commenter wrote.
Another zeroed in on a different cult favorite: “That’s a steal for Bad Fur Day,” a reference to Conker’s Bad Fur Day, the Nintendo 64 title now prized by collectors.
Others focused on the sheer scale of the find.
“This is the visit to max out your credit card then ask questions later,” one user joked, while another asked, “And you got them all right?!?”
A separate comment singled out the presence of a Zelda title on the shelf: “They not playing bout Zelda.”
Not every response was purely celebratory. One commenter urged caution, warning that some cartridges circulating in secondhand markets are counterfeit reproductions.
“Make sure you check if they’re repros,” the user wrote. “A good way to tell is to look at the back and check the ‘i’ in Nintendo. If the dot of the i is square then it’s most likely real, if the dot is a circle then it’s fake. They don’t look fake from what I can tell but you never know.”
Several commenters said they were simply relieved to see a thrift store still yielding genuine bargains amid rising resale prices for vintage games.
“Good to know that there are still good Goodwills out there!” one wrote.
Another was more direct about their own restraint, or lack of it: “I would have bought them all.”
