The Ville vs. La Familia Game 3 Preview
Former Louisville star Montrezl Harrell scored a tournament career-high 35 points to lead alumni team The Ville to an 82-62 victory over Kentucky alumni squad La Familia on Monday.
The Ville dominated the second quarter of the contest at Freedom Hall by outscoring their rivals 24-7 to take a commanding double-digit lead at halftime.
Harrell finished the record-breaking performance shooting 14-for-16 from the field while adding eight rebounds for The Ville, which held La Familia to just 33.9 percent shooting from the floor.
The match concluded through the Elam Ending, a format designed to eliminate late-game fouling by shutting off the game clock and requiring teams to reach a target score of eight points higher than the leading total.
