No goodwine employees were killed or injured in the attack, the company said. Employees of the logistics operator that serviced the warehouse were injured.

The attack marked the second Russian strike on the retailer’s storage facilities.

Goodwine thanked customers, partners and colleagues for their support, saying it had received hundreds of messages in recent days.

“This is extremely important to us, and we are grateful to everyone,” the company said.

Direct losses are preliminarily estimated at about UAH 65 million, or roughly $1.45 million, representing approximately 7% of the company’s total inventory.

Wine and spirits accounted for the largest losses. The attack also destroyed the company’s entire stock of espresso coffee and almost its full range of Brazilian coffee, which goodwine considers one of its key product categories.

The company also lost nearly 4,000 bottles of oil, about 35,000 bottles of water and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as confectionery products, packaging materials, retail equipment, Christmas decorations and pet clothing prepared for the next season.

The warehouse’s destruction disrupted goodwine’s supply chain, meaning some products will temporarily disappear from its selection.

“Our warehouse, logistics and procurement teams are currently working in emergency mode,” goodwine said. “They are simultaneously handling wholesale shipments, restocking stores, redistributing remaining inventory among locations and adjusting supplier orders to minimize product shortages.”

The company said its employees remain its most important resource, rapidly reorganizing operations and developing solutions in a situation for which there are no established procedures.

Despite the losses, goodwine expects to maintain stable store operations and continue supplying partners that also suffered damage from Russian attacks.

Good Wine, legally registered as Bureau of Wines LLC, has operated in Ukraine since 2006. The company runs the goodwine and BadBoy retail chains, the Garage food hall and an online store, and sells wine, spirits and food products through retail and wholesale channels.
