The British singer-songwriter will be the first to perform at Levi's Stadium since it hosted the FIFA World Cup.

The last time Ed Sheeran came to Levi's Stadium in 2023, he broke the venue's attendance record. It hasn't been touched since.

Attracting a crowd of nearly 80,000 fans, the British singer-songwriter surpassed the numbers Taylor Swift and Beyonce brought to the 49ers' stadium earlier that year. That distinction makes the "Shape of You" singer a fitting act to mark the stadium's return to its former self. 

San Francisco Bay Area Stadium, as the venue was temporarily known during its month-long FIFA World Cup hosting stint, went viral when a white tarp covered the Levi's logo in response to FIFA's branding restrictions. Sheeran will be the first to perform at the venue since the tarp was removed July 7. 

He continues to ride the waves of his eighth studio album "Play," which includes the electropop track "Azizam" and the pop-R&B song "A Little More." 

The four-time Grammy winner brings the Loop Tour to the Bay Area on Saturday, July 25.
