BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Bossier Parish.
Troopers arrested Miguel Angel Ceballos-Vasquez, 71, of Shreveport, for the death of 43-year-old Jerry Vest of Mooringsport. He was killed on Monday, July 20, on Louisiana Highway 3 near Courtney Lane.
According to Louisiana State Police, Vest was walking south in the left lane on Louisiana Highway 3 when he was struck from behind by a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Vasquez. Authorities did note that they believe Vest was impaired.
Troopers located Ceballos-Vasquez on Monday and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Jail.
