Class of 2028 wide receiver Alanson Simmons heads into the 2026 high school football season as one of the Peach State’s more intriguing prospects at the wideout position and now will have a new home to display his abilities at for the fall.

According to Rivals national recruiting analyst Chad Simmons on Wednesday afternoon, Simmons is leaving Carrollton (Ga.) and transferring to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (Ga.). Simmons already has nearly a dozen college offers to his name and looks to be in line for a major campaign with the Eagles.
The rising junior wide receiver joins a offense that brings back many of the key components from a season ago, including 2028 three-star quarterback Grayson Clary (783 yards, nine touchdowns) and three-star offensive linemen Jacob Burns, Ashton Thompson.
The Eagles faced many of the top regional powers in the area and are slated to do so again this upcoming season, with powerhouses like Baylor School (Tenn.), Loudoun Sports Academy (Va.), Providence Day School (N.C.) and Christian Brothers College (MO), respectively.

He got downfield separation with regularity, stacking defensive backs on vertical routes. Simmons also showed quality coordination and ball skills, tracking a throw over his shoulder for a touchdown.
