The 2027 Nissan Z will arrive at dealerships this summer and customers better start saving up as the model will start at $44,480. That’s a sizable jump as last year’s coupe began at $42,970.

The $1,510 price hike is accompanied by a host of updates including a mild facelift. The latter immediately stands out as the car sports a new front bumper and a revised grille.

Additional changes are limited, but the front Nissan logo has been replaced by a new “Z” badge, while Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paint has been added to the palette. The sports car also gets a revamped fuel tank, which ensures track day antics won’t interrupt the flow of gas to the engine.

The mid-level Z Performance starts at $54,480 and that’s an increase of $1,510. However, it’s notable for featuring a new Qi2 wireless charger as well as 19-inch forged wheels with black spokes as well as a machined-finish rim.

The upgrades don’t end there as the model has been equipped with larger shock absorbers that improve dampening and result in a more comfortable ride. The coupe also offers a new tan interior, which is a nice departure from the typical black.

That brings us to the $67,260 Z Nimso, which costs $1,510 more than its predecessor. It offers a new six-speed manual, which has been designed specifically for the range-topping variant. As part of the makeover, it sports an upgraded clutch and a new shift lever ratio, which promises a “much shorter shift stroke, rewarding drivers with quicker, more solid-feeling gear changes.”

Drivers will also find a more aggressive throttle response as well as Active Sound Enhancement and Active Noise Cancellation systems that have been retuned for the manual.

Besides the new gearbox, the Nismo variant gains a lightweight front braking system derived from the GT-R. It sports two-piece iron-aluminum rotors that save 19 lbs (8.6 kg) of weight and offer improved cooling. The suspension and steering have also been retuned for better performance and control.

Power is provided by a familiar twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine. It produces 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque in the mainstream variants, while the Nismo cranks out 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 384 lb-ft (520 Nm).
