The cause of death for actress Kaylee Hottle has been revealed.
The Maryland Office of the Medical Examiner told The U.S. Sun that the 19-year-old died from blunt force trauma. The initial autopsy performed on Hottle was finished on Wednesday morning.
TMZ reports the death was ruled an accident.
“The manner is accident, and the cause is multiple blunt force injuries,” the office told the outlet.
Hottle was a passenger in a vehicle when it veered off the roadway and landed in a culvert in the 11400 block of Windsor Road in Ijamsville, Maryland.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said that speed played a factor. The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, and another passenger declined treatment at the scene.
Hottle was transported from the scene to a local trauma center where she later died.
The crash remains under investigation.

She comes from an all-deaf family spanning four generations on her father’s side, according to IMDb. In 2016 and 2017, she appeared in on-camera PSAs for the Glide app, due to her fluency in ASL. In 2018, she was featured in “10 Deaf Children: One Powerful Message.”
She famously played Jia in 2021’s “Godzilla Vs. Kong” and 2024’s “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.” Kaylee also made appearances in the reboot of “Magnum P.L” in 2021.
