Zendaya's latest "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" look took a darker turn in Ashi Studio couture for a fan event in Mexico City on Monday night.
The Emmy Award-winning "Euphoria" star turned to the label's spring 2026 couture collection. Zendaya wore a sheer midnight silk dress with one side embroidered in antique-treated threads and delicate, web-like detailing. Glass tassels and beaded fringe cascaded from the sleeves and back to the floor, per Ashi Studio's description of the look from on the brand's official Instagram account.
With the look curated by Zendaya's longtime collaborator Law Roach, the actress' glam leaned into a refined, old-school elegance evocative of the 1960s. Zendaya's hair was styled with fringe framing her face and a bouffant so as not to clash with the dress' detailing.
Zendaya kept her accessories minimal, save for a pair of statement earrings set with diamond and black gemstones that mirrored the color scheme of the dress.
Zendaya's look first hit the runway in January 2026 during Paris Couture Week. Creative director Mohammed Ashi designed a collection that "fused historical references with technical mastery," Rhonda Richford wrote in WWD's review of the collection, titled "Mourning Dresses."
"Corsets, constructed using 18th-century techniques, cinched waists tightly, accentuating hips and ultra-feminine bell-shaped silhouettes. Dresses and peplums often extended into rounded, shell-like forms," Richford wrote of the collection.
"One standout black sequined gown was cut in a dramatic T-shape in the back, accented with tassels along the vertebrae, and the back was the focus of many pieces, including pearl-drenched bustles and trains," Richford added.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" follows Tom Holland's Peter Parker in a world that has completely forgotten him, where he encounters a new adversary. The film hits theaters July 31.
