A woman’s unwavering devotion to Drake has entertained millions online after a viral TikTok captured the very first thing she wanted after coming out of surgery.
Kate (@kate_a08) shared a video showing her being wheeled back into a hospital room following a procedure. Still groggy from anesthesia, she wastes little time before making a request to her mother: play some Drake.
The clip has racked up almost 12 million views and prompting thousands of comments from amused fans who were impressed by her dedication to the Canadian superstar.
The video begins with Kate arriving back in her hospital room. Moments later, she asks her mom to put on music by Drake. A nurse can be heard approving the idea, saying: “That’s totally fine.”
In the next scene, Kate is seen holding her phone and singing along to Drake’s 2023 track “Tried Our Best.” Dressed in a hospital gown and with her eyes closed, she appears fully immersed in the song despite having only recently come out of surgery.
The viral moment comes at a time when Drake remains one of music’s most commercially successful artists. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the rapper and singer had an estimated net worth of $250 million as of 2025.
Drake’s rise to fame has been one of the entertainment industry’s most notable success stories. After first finding fame as a teenage actor on the Canadian television series Degrassi, he went on to become one of the world’s biggest recording artists.
He has sold millions of digital singles, with estimates putting the figure at more than 163 million, while his international tours have generated substantial revenue throughout his career.
The attention surrounding the video also comes after Drake dropped three albums in one year, keeping him firmly in the spotlight and reinforcing the kind of devoted fan base showcased in Kate’s clip.

The video, captioned “dedicated [for real],” has accumulated 2.7 million likes and more than 5,600 comments.
Many viewers joked that Kate’s reaction was proof of her status as a superfan.
“This is perfect,” said one user and others are impressed that she can recite his song “word for word”.
