EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Tempers are starting to flare at the World Cup final.
Leandro Paredes hit Rodri in the face away from the action in the 52nd minute, and Spain's captain dropped to the ground. As players from both teams rushed to make their case to the referee, there was pushing and shoving. At one point, Paredes shoved Dani Olmo, who fell forward.
The referee was able to separate the teams and he then gave Paredes, who'd only come into the game six minutes before the foul, a yellow card.
