What is Infinity Vision?
Infinity Vision is not a new projection technology. It is a premium-screen certification program created by Disney, applied to large-format theaters that meet its standards for screen size, laser projection, and immersive audio. Think of it as Disney's quality stamp on existing premium auditoriums rather than a new piece of hardware — and not a direct equivalent to IMAX.
Why not IMAX?
Disney is positioning Infinity Vision as a premium-screen alternative as Avengers: Doomsday opens opposite Dune: Part Three. Industry reporting indicates that Villeneuve's film is expected to receive priority access to many domestic IMAX screens during the shared December 18 release window.
Disney announced the Infinity Vision program at CinemaCon earlier in 2026, ahead of the December release. The certification is also being used for a re-release of Avengers: Endgame in September as a lead-in to Doomsday.
Where can you find Infinity Vision?
Disney says it is certifying premium large-format theaters across the United States and internationally. The exact number of qualifying screens as of publication was not independently confirmed. Availability can be checked through the film's official ticketing page and participating theater websites.
What tickets are available right now?
The presale that opened July 20 covers Infinity Vision-certified screens only. Standard-format tickets for regular screenings had not yet gone on sale as of publication.
