When is Amazon Prime Day 2026?
Amazon confirmed that Prime Day will take place from Tuesday, June 23 through Friday, June 26
This is one of the earliest Prime Day events since the sale began in 2015. Prime Day ran for four days for the first time in 2025, from Tuesday, July 8 through Friday, July 11, expanding beyond the traditional two‑day timeline. It’s still unclear whether Amazon will repeat the extended sale this year.
Do you need a Prime membership to shop Prime Day?
Yes. Amazon Prime Day deals are exclusive to Prime members.
A Prime membership includes:
- Free two‑day (and often same‑day) shipping
- Access to Prime Video, Prime Music and Prime Luna
- Early and exclusive access to Prime Day deals
If you’re not currently a member, Amazon typically offers free trials and discounted memberships for students and young adults ahead of Prime Day.
- Amazon Prime for Young Adults membership: People between the ages of 18 and 24 can sign up for the relaunched discounted Prime membership with a six-month $0 trial and then just $7.49 per month.
- Prime Access: If you receive SNAP, EBT, Medicaid or other qualifying government aid, you can save with a discounted Prime Access membership.

Will there be early Prime Day deals?
Yes, and they may start sooner than expected.
In past years, Amazon has rolled out early Prime Day deals around three weeks ahead of the official event. With Prime Day now confirmed for June, shoppers can expect early discounts to begin appearing in late May or early June.
