In a growing city like Austin, we all have that one intersection we know to avoid at all costs.

Perhaps the green light lasts only five seconds. Maybe there's a gnarly pothole right in the middle. Or maybe it's the only route that will get you - and many others - to your destination, creating a bottleneck.

Some intersections can even be dangerous. An analysis by American-Statesman data reporter Michael Zhang found that the 10 most dangerous intersections in Austin accounted for about 300 injuries over the past four years.
