Arm Holdings plc ARM stock was down more than 2% during Wednesday’s premarket session as investors pulled back from high-growth technology stocks amid a weaker broader market.

Nasdaq futures fell 0.63%, while S&P 500 futures slipped 0.25%.

The stock closed 7.46% higher in Tuesday’s regular session after Susquehanna reiterated its Positive rating and raised its price forecast to $320 from $300.

After Tuesday’s sharp rally, some investors also appear to be locking in gains before Arm’s quarterly results.

Arm will report financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, after market close.

Another tailwind for Arm’s long-term outlook comes from the broader AI infrastructure market. IDC said Wednesday that ARM-based accelerated servers surpassed x86 systems in the first quarter for the first time, generating $53 billion in spending versus $34.6 billion for x86 platforms.

The research firm also raised its 2026 AI infrastructure spending forecast to $497 billion, citing continued hyperscaler investment and expanding AI workloads beyond GPUs.

Arm Technical Analysis

Arm remains under pressure in the short term.

The stock is trading 9.9% below its 20-day simple moving average of $313.91 and 11.2% below its 50-day simple moving average of $318.39. However, it remains 19% above its 100-day simple moving average of $237.65 and 52% above its 200-day simple moving average of $186.08.

The 20-day moving average remains below the 50-day moving average, signaling weak near-term momentum. However, the longer-term trend remains constructive after the 50-day average crossed above the 200-day average earlier this year.

The moving average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator also points to fading momentum. The MACD remains below its signal line, while the histogram is negative. That suggests buying pressure has weakened following the recent rally.

  • Key resistance: $318.39, near the 50-day simple moving average.
  • Key support: $237.65, near the 100-day simple moving average.

Earnings And Analyst Outlook

Arm is scheduled to report quarterly earnings on July 29, 2026.

  • Estimated EPS: 36 cents, up from 35 cents a year earlier.
  • Estimated revenue: $1.27 billion, up from $1.05 billion a year earlier.
  • Valuation: P/E of 340.9x (Indicates premium valuation)

Wall Street maintains a Buy consensus rating with an average price forecast of $301.65. Recent analyst actions include:

  • Susquehanna: Reiterated Positive, raised price forecast to $320 on July 21.
  • UBS: Maintained Buy, lowered price forecast to $360 on July 20.
  • HSBC: Downgraded the stock to Hold and raised its price forecast to $315 on July 14.

Arm Benzinga Edge Rankings

Benzinga Edge assigns Arm a Momentum score of 97.78, reflecting the stock’s strong longer-term performance despite the recent pullback.

The stock also carries a Value score of 1.46, highlighting its rich valuation relative to the broader market.

The combination suggests investors continue to favor Arm’s long-term growth prospects, although its premium valuation could lead to larger swings around earnings.

ETF Exposure

Arm is a significant holding in several semiconductor and technology exchange-traded funds, including:

  • First Trust NASDAQ-100 Technology Sector Index Fund QTEC: 4.57% weighting.
  • First Trust Nasdaq-100 Equal Weighted Index Fund QQEW: 5.06% weighting.
  • VanEck Fabless Semiconductor ETF SMHX: 5.92% weighting.

The Nvidia-led AI supercycle is accelerating — and Taiwan just confirmed it

The strongest proof this week that the AI buildout is still accelerating didn’t come from Nvidia Corp. NVDA. It came from a trade report out of Taipei. Taiwan’s export orders — the pipeline of future shipments booked by global buyers — surged 59.4% in June to a record $95.26 billion, the 17th straight month of growth. Export orders are a forward-looking gauge. They measure demand that turns into actual shipments over the next one to three...

Alphabet, Microsoft, Meta earnings will spotlight AI spending — but the bigger story may be in the footnotes
