Our editors have long been fans of Saatva’s mattresses. Over the years, we’ve tested many of the brand’s best-selling beds, praising them for their comfort, support, craftsmanship, and free white-glove delivery. But mattresses are not the only thing Saatva offers—their brand-new area rug collection is a home lover’s dream come true too. To see whether the rugs live up to the brand’s usual craftsmanship, our three editors ordered and tested a different style in their bedrooms.
Per the brand, each Saatva rug is made in partnership with skilled artisans and rug makers in Jaipur, India. The collection currently includes six designs (some available in multiple colors), ranging from subtle textures to geometric patterns that suit a variety of interiors.

Whether you’re finishing your dream bedroom or furnishing a smaller space in the house, Saatva has several options to choose from. The collection includes everything from smaller accent rugs that help define cozy corners to oversized options designed to layer underneath bedroom furniture for a luxurious look.
Saatva’s rugs range from about $600 to nearly $2,000, depending on the size you choose. While certainly an investment, the premium materials and handcrafted construction justify the higher price point to our editors.
To make it easier to find the right size for your space, Saatva has a helpful rug sizing guide toward the bottom of each product page, with specific size recommendations based on how large your bedroom (and mattress) is. Based on these guidelines, I chose the textured Vara rug in the 7'9" x 9'9" size for my bedroom; Senior Shopping Editor Samantha Jones opted for the Casanne in Ivory in 5' x 8’; and Senior Shopping Editor Shauna Beni-Haynes chose the 9' x 12' Adamas rug in Graphite.
Look and Feel
One thing that instantly stood out to our editors about Saatva’s rugs is the luxe look and the durable, textured feel underfoot. Each one we tried features a three-dimensional element, blending different pile heights and fabric dyes to create a rug that almost looks like a work of art.
Take the Vara rug I tested, for instance. Crafted from undyed wool and woven with a unique high-low grid texture, it brings a soft, earthy quality to my bedroom space. The photos on Saatva’s site don’t quite do it justice—its three-dimensional pattern is even better in person, and its blend of cream and brown tones is even more noticeable in real life.
“This rug instantly made my narrow bedroom feel more cozy and cohesive,” Jones says of the Casanne rug she tested. “Not only is it soft to the touch—you literally feel a sink-in softness in every step—but the fibers are thick and durable, so I’m not worried about snagging or shedding over time.”
Beni-Haynes appreciated the Adamas rug’s 1/2-inch pile height and unbacked design that “strikes a nice balance of a plush underfoot with a lighter, airy look that works well year-round.” Beni-Haynes also loves that it can maintain a cohesive look while adapting to different decor styles and furniture.
Setup and Delivery
One of the things we love most about Saatva is its free white-glove delivery on all mattresses—and that service extends to its rug collection, making it easy (and affordable) to get your bedroom set up the way you want.
For all three of us, the delivery process was smooth and on time: “I received frequent emails with tracking information,” Beni-Haynes says, “as well as a phone call on the day of delivery, letting me know when the rug would arrive and how far away they were. I especially appreciated the 20-minute heads-up.”
Just note that Saatva will select the delivery date for you, so you need to personally reach out to reschedule deliveries scheduled for times when you aren’t available.
Ahead of your rug delivery, you’ll need to clear the space beforehand—the delivery team won’t move furniture, though they will carry the package into the room of your choice. (This was a lifesaver for Jones, who lives on the fifth floor of a walk-up apartment building.)
You’ll also need to unbox and roll out your rug yourself, as delivery workers won’t assist with this process. “I was grateful my husband was home to help me, because the unboxing and unraveling was hefty work,” Beni-Haynes says. We suggest having another person to help assist with moving any furniture, unrolling, and setting up your rug.
Cleaning and Durability
Overall, our team has been impressed with the quality and durability of Saatva’s rugs. They’ve remained resistant to pilling or snagging thanks to the high-quality materials and hand-crafted design. According to the brand, it’s completely normal for the rugs to shed a little bit during the first few weeks of use and vacuuming, but it will reduce over time and doesn’t affect the durability of the rug itself.
When vacuuming, Saatva suggests turning the beater bar off and going with the grain of the pile. We found that the textured rugs—like the Casanne and Vara rugs we tested—are a bit tricky to vacuum because of their uneven texture and pile heights. A standard motorbar head or robot vacuum doesn’t fully reach the low-pile areas of my Vara rug, so I’ve been using an upholstery attachment to clean the exposed sections.
For spills, Saatva’s care instructions state to blot spills immediately and clean with mild soap and cold water, followed by blotting dry with a clean towel. It’s best to avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.

Are Saatva Rugs Worth It?
After months of testing, Saatva’s rugs felt comfortable, elevated our spaces, and delivered a contemporary look that made our bedrooms feel luxurious and look put together. The Casanne and Vara rugs feature plenty of texture, which is a big rug trend for 2026, while the Adamas rug’s beautiful black-and-white geometric pattern feels both modern and timeless. They’re definitely on the heavier side, which speaks to their high-quality construction and helps them stay in place without a rug pad.
Overall, Saatva’s rugs are definitely worth it given their craftsmanship, natural materials, luxe-looking neutral tones, and contemporary designs that fit a wide range of aesthetics. The price point is also consistent with competitor brands such as Safavieh, Loloi, and Rugs USA—all of which are House Beautiful–backed brands, making them a worthwhile investment.
