A dad-of-two who recorded women through the windows of their homes has pleaded guilty to 19 counts of voyeurism.

Anthony Durkan, 35, carried out ‘serious and sustained predatory behaviour’ spying on women through their windows in the middle of the night between 2020 and 2025.

This included when they were undressed, with officers finding hundreds of videos he had filmed in a hidden folder on his phone.

Durkan pleaded guilty to 19 counts of voyeurism at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ today. This brings his total number of voyeurism offences to 26 after he pleaded guilty to seven separate incidents in March.

The dad-of-two repeatedly visited one woman’s home in Islington in the early hours of the morning in January.

Her neighbour spotted a man, ‘dressed entirely in black and wearing a balaclava’, walk outside the property.

He held his mobile phone up to the windows and seemingly began to record – all of which was captured on the neighbour’s Ring doorbell.

Just a few weeks later, another woman spotted a man recording her through her window. After she confronted him, he fled but a neighbour’s doorbell footage again captured him at the scene.

After increasing patrols in the area, officers in an unmarked car spotted him outside another property in Islington.

They searched his phone, and found a hidden gallery containing hundreds of images and videos of women, with nothing to suggest they knew they were being recorded.

A third victim was identified through the pictures, but police believe there are more.

Detective Chief Inspector Gemma Alger said: ‘Durkan’s offending represented a serious and sustained course of predatory behaviour, deliberately targeting women who were entirely unaware they were being filmed, without their consent and in the privacy of their own homes.

‘I want to thank the women who had the courage to come forward and report Durkan’s crimes.

‘Their reports, supported by witnesses and swift investigative work, enabled officers to act decisively and arrest Durkan during a proactive patrol.

‘This conviction reflects the severity of these crimes and means a dangerous individual has been brought to justice, preventing further harm to women.’

He will be sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court at a later date.
