An appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage is issued by Devon and Cornwall Police.

A man has died following a three-vehicle crash on a major road.

Emergency services were called to the Plymouth-bound A38 near Buckfastleigh in Devon at about 09:30 BST on Monday following the collision involving a white Vauxhall van, a green DAF goods vehicle and a red Ford hatchback car.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the van driver, a man in his 50s from Ivybridge, died at the scene.

A road closure was in place between junctions for Buckfastleigh and Dean until 01:15 while investigations took place. Police have asked anyone with information about the crash or dashcam footage to contact the force.
