That's the image depicted in a uncirculated coin set for release by the U.S. Mint on Tuesday, July 21. The 1-ounce American Eagle uncirculated silver coin shows the icon of Liberty mid-stride. This is an evocative image for a limited-edition coin designed around America's 250th anniversary, coin collecting experts say.
The American Eagle coin is one of many collectibles released by the Mint in honor of America's 250th anniversary. Everything from a set of uncirculated quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies, to a Liberty Bell-shaped gold coin priced at nearly $20,000 were made available for purchase on the Mint's website.

The uncirculated American Eagle coin, composed of 99.9% fine silver and priced at $169 for its July 21 release, is a collector's item, says David Freund, professor of history at the University of Maryland, so they're not meant to be spent on everyday goods or services.

How to get the uncirculated America 250 coin
The uncirculated coin is priced at $169 and is available beginning at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 21. Supply is limited to 125,000, and the highest amount any one household can order is 10, according to the Mint.
'Walking Liberty' on uncirculated American Eagle coin
This uncirculated coin is a collectors' edition of the wider library of American Eagle coins produced by the Mint. The initiative debuted in the 1980s as a way for anyone to make a precious metal investment and has expanded to include other metals than silver and gold, such as palladium.
These feature the American Eagle on one side, clasping an oak branch in its talons. On the reverse side, Lady Liberty is depicted in motion in the “Walking Liberty” design by Adolph A. Weinman from the 1916 half dollar, according to the Mint.
The special 2026 edition features a one-of-a-kind "250" mark and the dates “1776 ~ 2026” for the semiquincentennial. This year's coin also has a special "reeded edge," according to the Mint, to protect against counterfeits.
"The American Eagle Silver Enhanced Uncirculated Coin features a combination of laser-frosted areas and an unpolished field that accentuates design details," the Mint's posting of the coin reads. "The process creates a unique contrast distinctly different from the mirror-like finish of proof coins."
