Tropical Storm Bertha has formed in the eastern Gulf, becoming the second named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season.

Bertha strengthened from Tropical Depression Two and is expected to bring days of heavy rain to parts of the Southeast through Thursday.

According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Bertha has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph.
