The Magic School Bus cast still has a magical bond.
Danny Tamberelli, who voiced Arnold Perlstein from seasons 2 to 4; Daniel DeSanto, who voiced Carlos Ramon; Stuart Stone, who voiced Ralphie Tennelli; and Erica Luttrell, who voiced Keesha Franklin, were reunited over the weekend of July 18 at ConnectiCon in Hartford, Conn.
The cast members came together for a Q&A session with fans of the beloved PBS series, which ran from Sept. 11, 1994 to Dec. 8, 1997. Lily Tomlin voiced the school bus-driving Ms. Frizzle, a teacher leading her eight students on magical field trips across time and space. The series was based on the Scholastic children’s books by authors Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen.
“Still magical after all these years - The Magic School Bus class reunion was everything we could have hoped for and more! So many memories, so many laughs and so much love on this very special field trip! ❤️,” the caption read on a set of then-and-now group photos, shared by the cast members and the convention on Instagram.
In June, Variety confirmed that Elizabeth Banks will be taking audiences on a magical ride as eccentric teacher Ms. Frizzle in the live-action feature film in development by Legendary Entertainment. Rob Letterman, who helmed 2019’s Detective Pikachu, has signed on to write and direct the new film.
Plot details for the new live-action adaptation have not been confirmed. Letterman, 55, has experience with both animated and live-action projects as the writer and director of 2004’s Shark Tale and the recent Goosebumps revival.
Banks was previously attached to a 2020 Magic School Bus feature film, which was a partnership between Banks’ company, Brownstone Productions, along with Marc Platt Productions, Universal Pictures, and Scholastic Entertainment, The Hollywood Reporter shared at the time.

In 2017, Netflix premiered a sequel to the series, The Magic School Bus: Rides Again, which featured Kate McKinnon as the voice of teacher Fiona Frizzle.
Fiona, who is the sister of Ms. Frizzle, engaged in the same comedic mayhem and science education as the original ‘90s series.
