Actor Pyo Ji-hoon, also known as P.O, was injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road on Jeju Island, police said Wednesday.
The accident occurred at around 9:56 p.m. Sunday as Pyo was crossing a road in Geumneung-ri, Hallim-eup, Jeju Island, according to the Jeju Seobu Police Station. The actor was taken to a hospital for treatment right after the accident.
Pyo suffered abrasions to his elbow and knee and reported pain throughout his body, though his injuries were not believed to be much serious. He is recovering after receiving necessary treatment.
Police found that the driver was neither under the influence of alcohol nor in violation of traffic signals at the time of the accident.
Authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident by reviewing the vehicle's movements and the pedestrian's path at the time of the incident, police said.
Pyo recently appeared as Bong Geun-dae, a talented deputy director of Educational Rights Protection Bureau in the Netflix original series “Teach You a Lesson.”
