Police have recovered a boom lift reported stolen during the weekend, and said they have arrested a Jacksonville man on forgery and theft charges.
A boom lift, also known as a JLG lift, is a large piece of machinery that helps workers reach high places.
One was being kept in the 300 block of South Clay Avenue when it was stolen between July 16 and Monday, according to a report filed at 12:38 p.m. Monday.
The lift was valued at $8,500.
Police were called Tuesday by a Jacksonville company that believed the stolen boom lift was unintentionally transported to a location in Ashland.
The machine was returned, and police later arrested Bradly A. Koch, 31, of Jacksonville in the 300 block of South Clay Avenue on charges of forgery and felony theft.
Koch was accused of presenting falsified documents claiming he owned the property and using it to sell the boom lift to someone.
