Support for the war in Iran among President Trump’s most fervent voters has dipped dramatically, according to new polling.

In the Politico poll, 37 percent of MAGA Trump voters said the U.S. should continue the war in Iran despite possible raised costs back home, while 50 percent said the same in May. The poll also found that another 37 percent of MAGA Trump voters said their country should go on with the war as long as it doesn’t raise prices, and 19 percent said the same two months ago.

Another 19 percent of MAGA Trump voters in the poll said the U.S. should stop the war, no matter the costs back home, with 12 percent saying the same in May. Another 7 percent in the new poll were unsure between the three options, and 10 percent said the same in the prior poll.

The Iran war, which has stretched on for nearly five months and put stress on the global economy, has proved unpopular among the American public in recent polling.

According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas in the U.S. as of Wednesday evening was about $4.06, up from about $3.15 last year.

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a Trump supporter turned critic, on Tuesday evening slammed the president over a post he made about the death toll from the Iran war.

“Trump is bragging about killing 18 US soldiers. That[‘]s how I read this stupid posts. The ‘peace president’ went to war and is killing and wounding our troops,” Greene said, capping off her post with an acronym for “go f— yourself.”

The Politico poll took place from July 13 to 15, featuring 2,061 respondents and plus or minus 2.16 percentage points as its margin of error.
