SpaceX (SPCX) on Wednesday unveiled the Cursor Router, an intelligent model router for teams and enterprises.
The Cursor Router automatically routes every request to the most capable model, thus providing intelligence at a lower cost. It's already been tested with “dozens” of enterprise partners, and customers have seen the same frontier performance, albeit with 30% to 50% lower cost, SpaceX said in a statement.
“Cursor routes hundreds of millions of coding requests each week across every model and provider, with unique visibility into what users like and what stays in the codebase,” SpaceX said in a statement. “Model neutrality has always been core to how Cursor works, and today we're putting that data and expertise to work for your team. With Cursor Router, our goal is to provide teams with the best performance and experience for every task, without spending more than the work requires.”
Cursor Router has three modes—Intelligence, Balance, and Cost—which give customers the ability to adjust where they need to be on the cost-intelligence curve.
The product is available today for Teams and Enterprise plans across desktop, web, iOS, CLI, and SpaceX's SDK, the company added.
SpaceX officially acquired Cursor last month for $60B in stock. Shares of SpaceX fell 2.5% in midday trading on Wednesday.
