Prince William and Kate Middleton’s firstborn son, Prince George, turned 13 years old today. To commemorate the milestone, the couple kept with tradition and released a portrait of their growing boy wearing a black suit, open collar short and a soft smile. (Then they created a new tradition by posting a video showcasing George’s adventurous and sporty side!)
The formal image immediately took many back to when Prince William was the same age in 1995. Much like his young son, Prince William was tall, a bit shy and was headed to Eton College for his high school studies.
