Following today’s official launch event, pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 are officially live. While reservations kicked off today, July 22, the compact foldable will not officially hit store shelves until August 7. If you are eager to secure your device early, here is everything you need to know about pricing, availability, and retail partners.
Storage options, pricing, and exclusive colors
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 keeps things straightforward with its lineup, offering 12GB of RAM across all models. The base configuration with 256GB of storage starts at $1,199.99, while doubling your space to 512GB raises the price to $1,399.99. Unlike its high-end siblings, there are no 16GB RAM or 1TB storage tiers for this form factor.
If you decide to order directly from the official Samsung Store, you get access to an exclusive colorway named Mint. This finish brings a fresh shade sitting right between soft blue and gentle green. If you prefer buying elsewhere, the standard colors—Pink, Graphite, and Cream—are widely available across major retailers and third-party stores like Amazon and Best Buy.
Carrier availability and hardware highlights
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is widely available through nearly all of the major cellular carriers in the U.S. and globally. However, buyers should note that the device is currently not available through Verizon at launch.
Despite being the most affordable model in the newly announced Galaxy Z 8 family, the Flip 8 packs impressive specs into its pocketable frame. It features a 6.9-inch main foldable screen alongside a 4.1-inch outer cover display. Under the hood, the handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, with a 4,300mAh battery, 25W wired fast charging, and 15W wireless charging.
With pre-orders now open, buyers have two weeks to lock in their orders before official shipping begins on August 7.
