Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 23: +1,460 troops and 1,688 drones

An updated tally shows intense pressure on the frontlines

Russian forces continue to incur heavy losses as the war in Ukraine grinds on. According to Ukraine's military report, the latest daily toll includes both personnel and a wide range of military equipment.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 23, 2026, are estimated to be:

・Special equipment ‒ 4,453 (+3)

Frontline situation

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially appointed Mykhailo Drapatyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a new push to reform the army.

He also confirmed Ukrainian strikes on an oil depot and logistics centers in Russia's Krasnodar and Stavropol regions that supplied the Russian military with drone components, navigation equipment, and other military gear.

Meanwhile, Russian troops continue to apply pressure practically along the entire front line, suffering enormous losses. For example, there were 270 losses per day this week in the operational zone, most of them killed, according to the Ukrainian military.
