Robbie Williams is kicking speculation to the curb.
The "Rock DJ" singer set the record straight after what appeared to be a white pill fell out of his mouth during an interview from the Spain vs. Argentina game at the FIFA World Cup 2026 final July 19.
"Just woke up and feeling…. Mint," Williams captioned a July 20 Instagram video, in which he shared from bed, "Just like to apologize for the object that fell onto the microphone yesterday. It was deeply unprofessional, and people worried about me."
"But it's okay," he added, before playfully sticking it tongue out to reveal two more lozenges, "because I had several more."
Indeed, one of those mints popped out from the 52-year-old's mouth and onto the top of his microphone while speaking to a German TV station from the sporting event, during which he performed at the closing ceremony alongside Nicole Scherzinger and Laura Pausini.
As seen in footage circulating on social media, Williams kept his composure and subtly picked off the small tablet without breaking his speech. He then held it in his hand and casually rubbed on his forehead while continuing to answer questions.

But it's understandable why Williams said his on-air gaffe caused some concerns for people. After all, he has been open about his past struggles with addiction and drug abuse.
"I was a fully-fledged, fully-blown, self-medicating addict," the Take That alum recalled of his career in '90s during a 2022 interview with The Irish Times. "So unfortunately, it wasn’t a lot of fun—which is why I’m a sober person right now.”
"It was just sad and depressing and tiring, and the heart ached," he continued. “And I was lost.”
And Williams credits his wife Ayda Field and their kids—Theodora, 13, Charlton, 11, Colette, 7, and Beau, 5—for helping him turn his life around.
"It just moved too fast for me to understand what it was," he said, calling his family his "nearest and dearest."
"There is a purpose now," Williams added. "I do a job, and daddy goes to work, and it all makes sense now."
