An old-timey Land Rover, wellies, wild flowers, raincoats and copious amounts of champagne set the scene for the Highlands wedding of Bryony Daniels, the events organiser who was once linked to Prince William.
Bryony, now 44, happily played the role of the future King's 'decoy' girlfriend during his time at the University of St Andrews to help keep his then-burgeoning romance with Kate under wraps.
But Bryony, who was frequently pictured walking to class with William, has now found her own happily ever after as she married boyfriend Adair Williams during an intimate ceremony on her family's countryside Straithvaich estate last week.
Sharing a selection of snaps from the day on her Instagram account, Bryony wrote: 'One glorious week of being yours, and you mine.
'Suitably blessed by the ever present Highland summertime rain,' she continued, sharing the couple's 'getaway vehicle' was the 'most handsome of Land Rovers'.
Bryony weds in unusual gold gown
For her big day, Bryony picked an unusual gold brocade wedding dress with a ruffled collar and flowing white veil, which she accessorised with an ornate gold headband.
One picture showed the newlyweds sharing a sweet kiss after exchanging vows, as Bryony clutched a gorgeous bouquet of white, pink, and red flowers.
In another, Bryony and Adair, who is the nephew of the Duke of Sutherland, were pictured in the back of the green Land Rover, while the groom raised a glass of bubbly to his new bride.
As clouds of mist descended, the wedding party swapped occasion wear for sensible trousers, boots and tweed jackets - although Bryony kept her veil and headband on for the rustic reception.
The daughter of a Suffolk landowner, Bryony sparked a public frenzy when she was photographed walking to geography lectures with William during their time together at St Andrews.
Bryony helped conceal Kate and William’s relationship
Like Kate, Bryony also walked in the university's charity fashion show as the gorgeous brunette showed off her enviable figure in a black crochet bikini and green sarong skirt.
Her good looks and family background meant most people thought they were watching a 'suitable' royal romance unfold, but Bryony was actually a key part of Kate and William's plan to throw people off their scent as they grew closer and fell in love.
Bryony was close to both the now-Prince and Princess of Wales during their time at St Andrews, with the late Queen's grandson even inviting her to join the royals for a pre-Christmas shooting party at Sandringham, The Times reported.
Bryony, who works at event planning firm Liquid OPM, was also among the guests at Kate and William's 2011 wedding at Westminster Abbey, which she attended wearing a pink dress with a red belt and black fascinator.
While the Prince and Princess were not present for Bryony and Adair's nuptials, 15 years later, the couple were surrounded by their loved ones when they tied the knot last week.
Adair proposed with Pragnell sparkler
It came after Adair, who has a PhD in fluid dynamics and a degree in mechanical engineering, popped the question with a sparkler from Pragnell London - the British heritage brand behind Harriet Sperling's engagement ring - 'suitably romantic bit of bog' in the Highlands last October.
Bryony said 'I cried my eyes out' when Adair went down on one knee on Instagram, as she shared the romantic moment with her friends and family online.
Recounting the day Adair proposed, Bryony said she 'had no idea' what he had planned and that 'we walked off the hill hearts full, following the glas tol burn (also known as the Englishman's burn' to Loch Vaich.
'Adair caught a rather large pike, the hallowed Thurso wave, & then Aurora danced to say goodbye,' Bryony added, sharing a picture of the stunning Northern Lights.
She gave her followers a closer look at her engagement ring in March, when she posted a picture of it alongside a newspaper clipping of the couple's formal marriage announcement.
Tatler reported that Adair recently took over his family seat, Herringston House, with Bryony set to help him renovate the 13th-century manor as they settle into married life together.
