Photos reveal large fire at fuel depot in occupied Mariupol following drone strike

The outlet stated that local monitoring groups have released videos of a thick column of black smoke rising over the city.

Local residents reported that the fire broke out on Topolyna Street in northern Mariupol, where traffic is currently blocked. Social media reports suggest a fuel truck or a fuel and lubricants facility caught fire, while some eyewitnesses noted a gas station previously operated at the location.

The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported that fuel and lubricants caught fire after the attack, a theory shared by military analyst Yan Matvieiev, who noted that the smoke composition suggests a fuel depot may be on fire.

Head of the Center for the Study of Occupation Petro Andriushchenko stated that Ukrainian drones attacked Mariupol, noting that the UAVs were spotted over the city center heading toward the Mykilske exit.

Explosions shook temporarily occupied Crimea overnight on July 21, leaving part of the peninsula’s southern coast without power.
