The PBY belonging to the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, Massachusetts, stole the show down in warbirds on Monday.
Approximately 5,000 of the aircraft were built, and the one on display is a very early model.
If you take a good look at the round on the nose, you can see that it once had a red dot in the center of the star. That feature was painted over after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor because it could have been mistaken for the Rising Sun.
