Only 50 people will ever own Aston Martin’s rarest new V12 Vanquish

Aston Martin is celebrating 25 years of the V12-powered Vanquish in the easiest way it knows how, with a limited-edition model. Called the Vanquish 25, it will be capped at just 25 Coupe and 25 Volante examples worldwide, all built by the brand’s Q personalization service, which means each of the 50 cars starts life as a bespoke commission,

While some car manufacturers may celebrate a milestone like this with a wild, track-focused model bathed in aggressive and over-the-top aero upgrades, Aston Martin has gone about things in a more subtle way. Indeed, viewed from a distance, the Vanquish 25 looks pretty much the same as any other Vanquish.

The most distinctive feature is the paint. All examples will be adorned in the same shade of Q Skye Silver, complete with metal foil detailing along the side shields and shield vanes. It’s classy and would no doubt get the tick of approval from James Bond himself.

Among the other small additions made to the car are special Vanquish 25 badging, custom 21-inch forged alloy wheels, and new tailpipes.

The tweaks continue inside the V12-powered monster, where buyers get laser-etched Aston Martin trim inlays, a red engine start/stop button, a black Alcantara headliner, and ‘Vanquish 25’ embroidery on the seats.

No upgrades have been made to the car’s engine, though it hardly doesn’t need any more power. The 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 pumps out 823 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque, allowing the rear-wheel drive GT to put 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds while powering through to a 214 mph (344 km/h) top speed.

Deliveries Starting Soon

Aston Martin will fittingly unveil the Vanquish 25 at next month’s Monterey Car Week with deliveries penciled in for the fourth quarter. Pricing details have yet to be confirmed.

“25 years on from the unveiling of the very first Vanquish it is only right that we mark this nameplate’s contribution to our heritage,” head of Q at Aston Martin Vittorio Gabba said. “Vanquish 25 builds on the extraordinary achievements of the modern, third-generation Vanquish with a carefully curated package of exterior and interior features that subtly celebrate this important milestone in our history.”
