It’s summer, but we found a place to walk in the shade! So, plan on meeting us early for a cool walk-in nature. Everyone is invited to join us for a 1, 2, or more miles walk at Tom Brown Park.
We will start with a talk by Dr. Adekunle Omotayo who will be talking to us about Travel Health. Those summer vacations can be a lot more fun if nobody has medical adventures while away!
Dr. Amy Neal and several additional medical professionals will also be on hand, so this is your opportunity to walk, talk and ask questions in an informal environment.
When: 9 a.m. Saturday, July 11
Where: Meet at Pavilion 13 just past the Rotary Centennial Playground – directions – From Capital Circle turn on Easterwood Drive (the Armory is on the corner). Go through the roundabout past the Red Cross and Animal Shelter. Go all the way around the curve and take the first paved road on your left. Stay to the left and go past the Playground until it ends at the pavilion.
Description: My wife Morgan discovered a couple of new paths. This is an out an back walk so you can turnaround at any point in time. Whatever your comfort level is, there’s a walk for you!
Whether you’re a wellness enthusiast or just getting started, everyone is welcome. Its free to attend, so lace up your walking shoes and join us for an energizing walk.
So grab a family member, friend, your 4 legged friendly dog or come solo. This will be a great day to get out early to walk, talk and connect with people of all walks of life from our area.
