A mother who allowed her 11-year-old daughter to deliver her husband's baby is now facing life behind bars.
Cherie Walker was found guilty of one count of enabling child sexual abuse and six counts of child neglect in Muskogee County, Oklahoma. The jury has recommended a life sentence on each charge. Her formal sentencing is scheduled for a future date.
Over four days, jurors heard testimony from emergency responders, law enforcement officials, medical experts, Department of Human Services workers, church members and relatives before delivering guilty verdicts on all seven charges, reports Daily Star.
The investigation launched in August 2025 after authorities discovered an 11-year-old had delivered a baby at Walker's residence without any prenatal care or medical supervision.

Throughout the trial, prosecutors contended the mother was aware her husband Dustin Walker was sexually abusing their daughter and did nothing to stop it. DNA analysis subsequently confirmed the depraved Dustin as the biological father.
He entered guilty pleas to one count of sexual abuse of a child under 12 and six counts of child neglect on March 26.
Dustin received a life sentence for the sexual abuse conviction alongside consecutive prison terms for the child neglect convictions.

Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson previously addressed the lasting impact on the victim. She said: "This child is traumatized.
"She's been through a horrific ordeal. Not only has somebody gotten her pregnant, but she gave birth at home without medical assistance, and this will be her life for the rest of her life."
The Ohio "house of horrors"
The revelation comes as the mother at the heart of Ohio's suspected house of horrors has called her 16 children a "gift from God" while her attorney maintains they had social media profiles, contradicting earlier reports that suggested some of the youngsters couldn't speak and were unable to write their own names.
Elizabeth Siders, 33, remains in custody facing multiple felony child endangerment charges following authorities' discovery of 16 children living in what officials characterized as "deplorable" conditions during the execution of an arrest warrant for her husband, Gary Siders Jr., at the family's Vinton County residence.
Local outlets also report that in addition to the surviving children, records indicate Elizabeth had conjoined twin daughters, Bailey Lee Siders and Faith Lee Siders, who were both born and died on November 20, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
