Megyn Kelly had a lot to say during the July 20 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show. She began with a 12-minute rant about Michelle Obama, which began with a clip of the former First Lady discussing how she was reduced to what she wore and looked like, rather than what she said, in the press while she was campaigning for Barack Obama during his presidential run.
“Oh my God, she is dripping in narcissism,” Kelly complained with an eye roll. “Dripping in it. Would you at least feign some humility? I’m embarrassed for you. You’re actually not that great. You’re fine, but you seem very scripted and artificial to me, if I’m honest. You don’t speak from the heart. You didn’t move me at all at the Democratic National Convention. You seemed a little cycled and tired, to be honest.”
The former Fox News host also defended journalists reporting on women’s fashion in politics. “It wasn’t to diminish you,” she insisted. “They do it to every female politician. It’s part of your look. It’s part of your messaging. They would do it to men, too, if men dressed differently from one another, but they don’t. They look the same.”
She later added, “F**k off with this grievance nonsense. You’re not aggrieved. It doesn’t make anyone a misogynist. … Stop making everything an attack on you. You thin-skinned person. It’s just ridiculous.”
Kelly claimed that Obama “finds grievance in everything” and called her a “negative nelly all the time.”
After continuing that tirade for 10 more minutes, Kelly later addressed reports that Harris is the frontrunner to be the Democratic candidate for the 2028 presidential election. She sarcastically noted, “Despite cackling through a billion dollars in 107 days, only to fail by losing every single swing state [in 2024], the Democrats are seriously considering giving Kamala Harris another [chance]. I love them so much. Thank you, Democrats.”
Showing her support to the Republican party, Kelly added, “Let her run! The more America saw Kamala Harris, of course, the less they liked her as a presidential candidate, but who cares? Because she’s a woman and she’s Black, and if you’re a Democrat, that’s all that matters.
Kelly has been vocal about her dislike of Harris as a political candidate in the past, and doubled down while dripping in sarcasm on her latest show. “You’re right, if we get to know her better, I’m sure you’re going to have a different result next time around,” she mocked. “And I’m sure, you know, in a debate setting against JD Vance or Marco Rubio, she would really shine.”
