A 38-year-old woman has been named one of the most wanted fugitives by authorities in Georgia and Florida in connection with the alleged murder of 43-year-old Jason Coulhart. Isabelle Rose Johnson is accused of killing Coulthart after his body was found buried in a shallow grave on a property in Freeport, Florida.
Law enforcement has been investigating the case and has so far taken five people into custody. These individuals are accused of being accessories in connection with Coulthart’s murder. Johnson has allegedly used multiple aliases and is accused of using deceptive tactics while evading authorities. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has issued a reward for information about Johnson’s whereabouts.
Authorities Mark Fugitive Woman Wanted For Murder As ‘Most Dangerous’
According to a statement by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the 38-year-old fugitive is believed to have changed her appearance and cut her hair short to avoid detection. Investigators suspect Johnson may be in Habersham County, an area she is known to visit frequently.
The sheriff’s office, in a press release, warned Johnson to surrender. They said, “Justice is coming. Isabelle. Harley. Jessica. Whatever you’re calling yourself now. Turn yourself in. Enough is enough.”
The sheriff’s office also provided a detailed description of Johnson’s physical features that could help people identify her. They said, “Johnson is described as a 38-year-old white female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. Johnson has ties to the Freeport area and Georgia and may be using multiple identities. She is also known to use several aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Trash, and Jessica Dowdy.”
Murder Suspect Notorious For Manipulative Tactics
The Habersham County sheriff noted that Johnson is considered dangerous and warned people against approaching her. Authorities alleged that Johnson uses manipulative tactics on unsuspecting individuals. She is accused of making false claims about domestic abuse to obtain money, transportation and shelter.
So far in the murder case against Johnson, five people have been arrested. Each is accused of helping Johnson, including retrieving her belongings, sabotaging evidence, and assisting or providing refuge.
Law enforcement authorities have warned individuals who provide assistance to the fugitive. Walton County Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson said, “If you assist her in any way, you will go to jail. And if you continue to align yourself with a murderer, you are putting your own life in danger. We will not hesitate to hold every person accountable who interferes with this investigation.”
How The Victim’s Body Was Discovered
The multi-state manhunt for Johnson was started after Niceville Police received a tip about a suspected burial site in Freeport. A search warrant was executed, and authorities discovered Coulthart’s body buried under concrete in a shallow grave. A black Cadillac was parked over the site, authorities said.
The coroner’s office found that Coulthart’s neck was bound with a zip tie. DNA testing confirmed the victim’s identity as Coulthart, who had been reported missing nearly six weeks earlier.
A witness later told police that Johnson wanted to “get rid” of a boy because he was “aggravating and irritating her.”
