Liverpool is ramping up plans in the transfer window this summer, as the club looks to strengthen the team for the upcoming Premier League season.
New boss Andoni Iraola has made it clear that he is keen to improve the options at his disposal, rather than weaken his roster, with a winger being a particular area of focus. The Reds continue to be linked with plenty of players in the market as a result, though it's unclear currently which players the recruitment team will push ahead and sign in the coming weeks.

Alex Scott (Bournemouth)
Alex Scott has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool, among a whole host of Premier League clubs, as the midfielder's deal at Bournemouth continues to dwindle.
Recent reports claimed that the midfielder turned down a new contract with the Cherries, which has opened up the possibility of clubs making a move.
While some were hoping it might be Liverpool, it's Chelsea that pushed ahead first. According to Ben Jacobs, the Blues made a bid in the region of $85.6 million, which was rejected by Bournemouth.
Iraola's former club has seemingly reiterated that it has no intention of selling Scott this summer, despite the pressure surrounding his future.
Liverpool.com says: A Liverpool move for Alex Scott seems complicated, as Bournemouth appears steadfast in telling everyone that he is not for sale. If a transfer does go ahead this summer, the likelihood is that it would come much later in the window, when the Reds may be more active for a midfielder, due to priorities elsewhere first up. It means that interest in Scott can remain on the back burner for Liverpool, in case something happens, while there is no immediate rush to move on to other targets in the central ranks.
Ayyoub Bouaddi (Lille)
Another midfielder linked with a move to Liverpool this summer has been Ayyoub Bouaddi, as the Lille star impressed on the World Cup stage with Morocco.
The 18-year-old has attracted interest across Europe; however, TeamTalk reports that a deal to join Manchester City is now close for the youngster.
A fee in the region of $114 million is close to being agreed, while Bouaddi will join immediately, despite potential talks of a loan back to Lille.
The report adds that Liverpool has held talks for the World Cup star, but has seemingly missed out.
Liverpool.com says: Bouaddi is clearly a huge talent with big potential, but Liverpool may not be too aggrieved to miss out on him for a few reasons. The transfer fee is the main one, as such a huge fee for a club like the Reds should come with immediate impact, and there's no guarantee of that. Considering the money spent on transfers last summer, it's hard to justify such an expensive move, even if Bouaddi becomes a talent for years to come.
