Bell is still in custody in Ohio. His attorney, Thomas Shaffer, has previously said that the root of the problem is that Bell’s required child support payments are still based on his NFL salary, even though Bell last played in the NFL in 2021.

“His guidelines are still inaccurately being deemed based on his NFL salary and his professional boxing career,” Shaffer told the Canton Repository.

“This is a revolving door because he pays a number that doesn’t reflect his true income. The issue will never end. The court needs to reflect his true income,” Shaffer continued.

In his eight seasons in the NFL, Bell earned over $45 million, per Spotrac. Bell now has seven children with six different women.

Last year, he went viral for being unable to name all seven of his children when asked to on a podcast appearance, and he recently discussed the difficulties of having children with several different mothers.

It’s unclear which child Bell failed to pay his child support payments for, leading to his arrest.

One of Bell’s children lives in Michigan, where Bell attended college at Michigan State before being drafted to the NFL. Bell then went on to spend the bulk of his career with the Steelers before bouncing around the Jets, Chiefs, Ravens, and Buccaneers.

Yankees livid with MLB over handling of Jose Caballero pitch-timer fiasco: 'Embarrassing'

José Caballero and the Yankees are angry with MLB for re-emphasizing a rule without addressing it with them, which contributed to a frustrating 10-inning loss in the opener of a split doubleheader in The Bronx on Wednesday afternoon. With two out and a runner on base in the sixth inning, Caballero was called for an automatic strike on a pitch-timer violation. Mamdani’s Netanyahu backtrack shows NYC mayor distracted by social media activism

Reality killed the TikTok star. Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s carefully manicured online image took another hit this week when the lefty pol had to back down on his ridiculous vow to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — just the latest in a string of polished promises that failed the real-world test. Free bus rides for all New Yorkers, a tax hike for the Big Apple’s upper crust and cheaper groceries for everyone — all of them...

Former MLB executive throws shade at Padres over Juan Soto trade

It has been four years since the Padres made the blockbuster trade with the Washington Nationals for superstar outfielder Juan Soto, and they’re still facing the ramifications of it. Former Major League Baseball executive Jim Bowden appeared as a guest on Foul Territory on Wednesday afternoon and took a shot at the team for mortgaging their future on Soto. “It’s too painful watching James Wood and CJ Abrams rake every single night, to sit there...
