Just in time for Comic-Con, Legoland has opened a new Pokémon training experience.
The big picture: You get to choose your Pokémon, feed them, train them and then do battle against your Pokémon friends.
Zoom in: My son and I got to test it out this week. The Lego Pokémon are extremely cute, and come with a "smart brick" that makes them interactive.
- You can pet your Pokémon, rock it from side to side, feed it Lego sandwiches and it'll make noises in response.
Then you bring your Pokémon into the training room, where you can practice before your battle.
What's next: After the battle, you lay them down to rest.
- I foresee many kiddos being super unhappy about leaving their new buddies behind.
If you go: The experience is part of Legoland's summer festival running through Aug. 30.
- When you arrive at the park, you can join a virtual queue to get a time slot for your Pokémon battle.
