Actoz Soft announced on the 22nd that it has launched the second 'Shining' update for its action RPG 'LaTale' to celebrate the game's 20th anniversary, alongside a collaboration with 'Sanrio Characters.' The update introduces a new job class, a customization system, and a variety of collaboration items.
The centerpiece of this update is the new 'Idol' class. Designed as a messenger on stage who connects the past, present, and future, the class features the ability to freely switch between three types of weapons: a handheld microphone, a headset microphone, and a stand microphone. Players can also utilize a combat style that involves charging an 'Encore Gauge' through performance skills to unleash consecutive attacks.
The customization system has also undergone a major overhaul. The newly added 'Style Room' allows players to share fashion items across their account and equip them freely on different characters. This system integrates existing fashion and beauty features, enables players to preview items they do not own, and includes a preset function to save and apply various outfits.
The 20th-anniversary Sanrio Characters collaboration is also underway. Login rewards include the 'Hello Kitty Shadow Skin' and 'Hello Kitty Cafe Action.' Additionally, various collaboration items themed after Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and Pochacco—such as costumes, mounts, and actions—have been added. Players can also obtain the 'My Melody & Kuromi Fireworks Registration Ticket' and Sanrio Characters titles through the 'Collab Royal' event.
To commemorate the release of the new 'Idol' class, Actoz Soft has also released the OST 'Shine,' a collaboration with virtual artist Hebi. The new song captures the worldview and story of the new class, with Hebi’s vocals bringing the game's concept to life.
Launched in 2006, 'LaTale' celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Actoz Soft plans to continue its anniversary celebrations by introducing new content, including the new class and customization system from the 'Shining' update, as well as the Sanrio Characters collaboration.
