Armagh GAA confirmed on Monday night that senior football manager Kieran McGeeney will remain in post for another year at least.
McGeeney was ratified as manager for the 2027 season following a meeting of the county’s committee on Monday night.
Armagh bridged an 18-year gap this season, winning their first Ulster SFC final title since 2008 with victory over Monaghan in the final in May.

Their All-Ireland dream was ended, however, with defeat to Kerry in Killarney in round three following a shock loss to Louth.
McGeeney will take his tenure in charge of Armagh into a 13th year. It’s not yet clear if the 2024 All-Ireland-winning manager will make any changes to his backroom team.
Kieran Donaghy left the management team at the end of the 2025 whereas Ciaran McKeever and Conleith Gilligan remained this year.
Barry O’Hagan will continue as manager of the U20 football side.
Meanwhile, former Middletown manager Kevin ‘Kizzy’ Hughes has been appointed manager of the county’s senior and U20 hurling teams.
Hughes succeeds former Antrim captain Karl McKeegan who stepped down this season. Armagh were relegated to Division Four of the National Hurling League this season and failed to win a game in the Nicky Rackard Cup. They will compete in the Lory Meagher Cup next season.
