Kai Trump has revealed she's moved on from her longtime celebrity crush, swapping Outer Banks heartthrob Drew Starkey for a much older Hollywood star.
The 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump admitted actor Theo James has now claimed the top spot, saying her taste has changed since she first confessed to having a crush on Drew, 32, last year. In a new interview, Kai was asked whether she still had the same celebrity crush she previously revealed to fans.
She said, "I think Theo James now, yeah, Theo James, I would say, so it's changed. I mean, like, I still like him [Starkey], but it's just changed a little." Asked what made The White Lotus and The Gentlemen star Theo, 41, her new favorite, Kai didn't hesitate as she enthused to Fox News Digital, "He's very attractive."

Kai first revealed her crush on Outer Banks actor Drew Starkey in 2024 during a question-and-answer session on her YouTube channel after fans asked her to name her celebrity crush.
Before answering, she reached for her phone as she tried to remember his name. She said, "Oh my God, I know. Why do I need my phone? His name is Drew Starkey. Do you guys know him — Outer Banks?"
She then confirmed, "All right, my celebrity crush — Drew Starkey from Outer Banks. I love him, so, yeah, that's my celebrity crush." The admission left the teenage golfer visibly embarrassed, with Kai adding, "I'm gonna blush right now!" as her cheeks turned red and she fanned herself.
Away from celebrity crushes, Kai admitted that dating hasn't exactly been straightforward while living in the public eye as a member of America's most famous political family.
She explained, "It's not easy, to be honest with you, but, you know, you gotta live life. You gotta just keep on doing normal stuff, you know? At the end of the day, I was in high school, lived a normal high school life, and now I'm going to college. So, just kinda live as normal of a life as possible."
Kai has built a huge following online, amassing more than 1.5 million YouTube subscribers by documenting her life as a competitive golfer, college student and member of the Trump family. Her videos regularly feature behind-the-scenes glimpses of family events, travel, golf tournaments and major public appearances.
During the interview, she also revealed that a number of famous faces have praised her content and encouraged her to keep posting. Kai said, "I met this one celebrity one time. I was hanging out with him at the Masters, and he also said that what I'm doing, just continue being yourself and just kind of block out the haters and just keep on being you."
Although she chose not to reveal the mystery celebrity's identity, Kai said the advice has stayed with her. She added, "That kind of stood out to me, especially when you're with someone that's that high profile, and they say that to you."
