Kai Trump seemed to deliver a lighthearted jab at father Donald Trump Jr. after confessing she'd "rather look like" her mother, Vanessa Trump, while discussing how significantly her looks have evolved over recent months.
The 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump shared these remarks in a recent YouTube vlog while preparing for the 2026 ESPYs, where she experienced her debut red carpet appearance. As makeup artist Brianna applied a red-light therapy device to Kai's face, she noted, "This lifts the eye real nice."
Kai immediately quipped, "I've aged a lot, so we're going to need it." Brianna responded reassuringly, "You've definitely aged in a good way," while another team member chimed in from off-camera: "She looks regal and beautiful."

The teenage golf prodigy acknowledged that her features have markedly transformed in recent months. "My face has changed a lot. Honestly, in the past like three months, it's changed," she said, reports the Irish Star.
Brianna then drew parallels between Kai's appearance and her mother, Vanessa Trump, who was wed to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 until finalizing their divorce in 2018. "When you were saying you look more like your mom, you thousand percent do," Brianna observed.
Kai welcomed the observation enthusiastically, responding: "Yeah, I do. But that's a great compliment." She then seemed to subtly dismiss her father by stating: "I'd rather look like my mom."
To demonstrate just how significantly she believes her looks have evolved, Kai retrieved a photograph of herself from President Donald Trump's inaugural ball approximately 18 months earlier. Contrasting the snapshot with her current appearance, she indicated she'd moved beyond some of her more youthful characteristics.
The earlier photograph displayed Kai with darker hair and a gentler facial structure, while she highlighted what she characterized as a considerably sharper jawline now. "And look at me now," Kai announced as she pulled the phone away and motioned toward her face.
Brianna was swift to commend the transformation, expressing to the social media star: "Like you're glowing up. Just keep on glowing up. She's aging like some fine wine."
Kai also revealed the lifestyle practices she credits with contributing to her evolving appearance, informing her 1.5 million YouTube subscribers that maintaining her health is equally important as any skincare regimen. "I take very good care of my skin, and what you put in your body is also a reflection of your skin," she said.
"Honestly, guys, the most important thing I'd say is what you put into your body. Everything you put into your body is what it's going to show on the outside. If you don't treat your body right, you're not going to - not honestly say look great - but you're just not going to feel great," Kai wisely explained. She went on to urge her audience to make their overall wellbeing a top priority.
"I think part of it is investing in yourself and investing in your health. I think health is the most important thing ever. You can invest in yourself, eat right, work out, drink a lot of water. You can do that stuff and hopefully have good health."
