Green Bay Packers franchise quarterback Jordan Love has been under the spotlight since hearing his name called in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Even during his time as Aaron Rodgers' backup, many expected big things from the Utah State product, given the team's history of developing signal-callers.

Coming into his fourth season as the starter under center, the expectations have never been greater for Love, as he looks to cement his case as one of the league's premier quarterbacks. With such high expectations, pressure is sure to follow, and such has held for Love during the offseason.

On Tuesday, Love was named as one of six quarterbacks facing the most pressure by Athlon's Luke Easterling ahead of the 2026 season, and for good reason. Though he posted career-best efficiency, Love failed to live up to his 2023 performance, when he finished the season ranked eighth in the NFL in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns.

He managed to cut down his turnovers a season ago, but coming into the new year, he'll be tasked with combining those two trends for a Packers' offense that will require another career year from the signal-caller.

With a new-look receiving corps following the loss of Romeo Doubs, paired with the team's recent postseason struggles, the pressure surrounding Love is undeniable. What remains to be seen is how he'll navigate such expectations.

Matt LaFleur Will Lean On Jordan Love, Packers' Passing Game More This Season

As Love prepares for a highly anticipated 2026 campaign, he'll gear up for his highest workload since 2023. Considering the expectations surrounding the star quarterback, I'd expect Matt LaFleur to lean on his passing attack with greater regularity this season.

Green Bay's offensive focus catered to Love's efficiency in 2025, leaning on the run with greater regularity while its star quarterback ranked 19th in pass attempts for the second consecutive season. With Love slated to take on greater expectation, he'll also likely face greater volume considering the passing game's struggles over the last two seasons.

For Love to capitalize on an uptick in attempts, though, the team will need him to stay healthy for the entire 2026 season. He missed two games in each of the last two years, which hindered his volume and production down the stretch of each respective season.

He may not join the conversation of quarterbacks like Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow, but Love could ink his status as a top-10 signal-caller in 2026.
