The 1897 Victorian classic novel Dracula is getting a completely unexpected, positively star-studded new adaptation, starring none other than Wicked and Bridgerton star and People's 2025 "Sexiest Man Alive" Jonathan Bailey, alongside an ensemble cast of several other award-winning celebs.
An upcoming Audible Original of celebrated Irish novelist Bram Stoker'sDracula has just been announced, and it will feature a full audio cast. Joining Bailey in this all-star cast for the English language production, and representing a host of major movies and shows including Enola Holmes, The Dark Knight, The White Lotusand more, are Ella Purnell, Aimee Lou Wood, Louis Partridge, David Jonsson, Lesley Manville and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
The immersive audio adaptation will be available in English, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish on Audible starting on Oct. 1, followed by a German language release on Feb. 9, 2027, and Brazilian Portuguese language release also in 2027, although the exact date has not yet been announced.
Directing the project is award-winning director Mary Lambert, best known for the cult classic horror movie Pet Sematary in 1989, who will be making her audiobook directing debut with this Dracula adaptation.
The international cast members include Omar Sy and Deva Cassel in French, Riccardo Scamarcio and Benedetta Porcaroli in Italian, Matthias Schweighöfer and Jeanne Goursaud in German, Asier Etxeandía and Claudia Salas in Castilian Spanish and José María de Tavira and Esmeralda Pimentel in Latin American Spanish, in addition to many others. All language productions of this Dracula adaptation feature full ensemble casts, in addition to these stars.
