Jamie Campbell Bower's Rings Of Power Season 3 Character Officially Confirmed In New Image

Jamie Campbell Bower's character in the Lord of the Rings spinoff, The Rings of Power, has officially been revealed after countless rumors.

One of the many rumors surrounding Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 has been confirmed.

Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Poweris a fantasy TV series inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's classic novels. The show takes place during the Second Age, thousands of years before the events of the original books. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with New Line Cinema, the show explores many of the moments that shaped Middle-earth.

Theories about who Jamie Campbell Bower will be playing in the popular Lord of the Rings TV series have been circulating for quite some time. Now, Empire Magazine has officially confirmed that the actor will be playing the Elf Lord and husband of Galadriel, Celeborn, in The Rings of Power season 3.

Celeborn was previously played by Marton Csokas in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Bower described his iteration of the character as a more romantic and emotionally driven figure. Since The Rings of Power has established that Celeborn and Galadriel have been separated for centuries despite their marriage, the actor said he approached the role by focusing on his sense of loss. He also explained that he drew inspiration from Tolkien's relationship with his wife, Edith.

Morfydd Clark, who plays Galadriel in The Rings of Power, said she is happy with the dynamic between the two characters. She added that her status as a powerful Elven leader naturally influences their interactions and explained that Bower's portrayal was how she always envisioned Celeborn, praising how well he embodies the character.

According to J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, the showrunners of The Rings of Power, the casting process for Celeborn was a long one, with hundreds of actors auditioning for the role. However, they said that Bower ultimately secured the role because he stood out from the rest. They were immediately impressed by his performance and his voice, which they believed perfectly captured the character.

The Rings of Power has a massive ensemble cast. The show stars Lenny Henry (Sadoc Burrows), Sara Zwangobani (Marigold Brandyfoot), Dylan Smith (Largo Brandyfoot), Markella Kavenagh (Elanor "Nori" Brandyfoot), Megan Richards (Poppy Proudfellow), Robert Aramayo (Elrond), Benjamin Walker (Gil-galad), Ismael Cruz Córdova (Arondir), Nazanin Boniadi (Bronwyn), Tyroe Muhafidin (Theo), Charles Edwards (Celebrimbor), and Daniel Weyman (Gandalf), alongside Bower and Clark.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 will premiere on November 11, 2026, on Prime Video.
