Congratulations are in order for Amee Leigh Costigan and her husband, Neil, as they've welcomed twins to the world.
The Irish rugby star shared the news on Friday, after spending weeks in hospital with her turbulent pregnancy.
Amee shared a gorgeous black-and-white photo of herself and Neil in the hospital, with their newborn babies swaddled in blankets in front of them.
Revealing the unique monikers she'd chosen for her daughters, Amee wrote: 'Oakleigh and Avery Costigan. Welcome to the world, girls. Mom and Dad love ye more than words can describe!
'Born on the 9th of July, sharing the day with their birthday triplet and auntie @kelsiemurphycrowe.
'Our journey in the maternity is not quite over yet, as myself and Oakleigh are still navigating some challenges, but we’re in the right place with the very best care!'
On July 2, Amee revealed her twin pregnancy journey had been 'far from what we imagined'. At 29 weeks, concerns started to arise about the babies, and at 30 weeks, the mama-to-be was fully admitted to hospital.
She assured her followers that everything was normal, but that she was being closely monitored. The bottom line was that there was 'one bump, two beats', which was all that mattered.
At the time, she shared: 'While I’d love to be at home nesting and preparing for their arrival, I know this is exactly where the three of us need to be right now.'
Amee lauded her husband, Neil, whom she married in November 2024, as her 'rock through it all'.
She gushed: 'Not once missing a visit, all while getting our new home ready! Your strength, love, humour, and daily house updates have carried me through the toughest days, and I couldn’t be more grateful for you.'
Congratulations, Amee and Neil, on the arrival of Oakleigh and Avery!
