That is a famous line from the movie Field of Dreams. The film is set in the state of Iowa not all that far from Iowa City. In the last year a more permanent baseball structure was built at the movie set location in northeast Iowa, which will allow the Hawkeye baseball team to play a game during the fall against a regional opponent.
In this case, the Hawkeyes will host Kansas on October 10th at the Field of Dreams location. The game will begin at 1 pm and tickets will cost $12 and can be purchased here.
Last season, Iowa baseball completed the year with a 33-23 record and advanced to the Big Ten Tournament for the 11th straight season. The Jayhawks won the Big 12 conference crown last season and won an NCAA regional at their home stadium before falling in the super regional.
