Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to The Crown pub at about 01:45 BST on Wednesday.

An investigation has been launched after a fire at a pub in Nottingham.

A total of four fire engines from Stockhill, Highfields and West Bridgford were called to the Crown Pub in Western Boulevard at 01:44 BST on Wednesday.

Firefighters said a blaze in the gazebo area at the back of the pub "rapidly spread" to nearby outbuildings.

Crews extinguished the fire and left just after 03:30, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service added.

The fire is not thought to have been started deliberately following a review of nearby CCTV, Nottinghamshire Police added.

An investigation is under way to determine the cause.
